Pallet collars are shipped folded flat to make them easier and more efficient to transport. A standard shipment space is around 1.2 metres, however a folded pallet collar is over 2 meters long, essentially requiring two shipping spaces. This is why delivery costs can be higher than you might expect compared with some other pallet products.

It really depends on what you’re storing, how heavy it is and how the pallet will be handled. As a general guide, keep heavier goods low, make sure each pallet collar is seated properly on the one below, and avoid building so high that the load becomes top-heavy for forklift or pallet truck handling.

Yes, but untreated timber will weather over time if left exposed to rain. For long-term outdoor use, store collars under cover when not in use or apply a wood treatment. Folded collars stack neatly against a wall or on a pallet, so it’s easy to keep spares out of the weather.
