If you are exporting goods to outside of the EU your pallets will need to be Heat Treated- this is to ensure that wood-infecting parasites do not become a huge problem to some countries.
We can provide you with a tailor made heat treatment service:
Not all countries have the same requirements- some require not only the Mark that confirms the pallet has been Heat Treated (The IPPC mark stamped on the pallet) but also a phyto-sanitary certificate.
The rules can be complicated- please call us on 0161 223 4427 for advice if you wish or follow this link to TimCon, which will provide the latest information on worldwide procedures.
!Update! Please be aware that from March 2010 the previously acceptable Methyl Bromide treatment of pallets (an alternative to Heat Treatment) has been outlawed- only Heat Treatment will suffice.
